It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Charlie T. Fote on November 15, 2023, at the age of 74—a beacon of leadership and a cherished comrade whose legacy will continue to guide our company.

From URM GROUP’s origins, Charlie was the bedrock of our board, steering us with wisdom and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His magnetic presence turned colleagues into family, and his strategic acumen was unmatched. Yet, it was his role as a confidant and friend that truly enriched our lives.

Charlie’s journey included an esteemed career at First Data Corporation, where he rose to Chairman and CEO, transforming a $1.2 billion venture into a $10 billion industry giant. His vision was clear, and his impact was immense.

His dedication extended to entrepreneurship and global philanthropy and included service on the boards of Payfone, the President’s Club at Colorado State University, the Travis Hukill and Fote Family Foundations, and Project C.U.R.E., where his passion for humanitarian aid knew no bounds.

We invite all whose lives were touched by Charlie to join in celebrating his extraordinary life on December 1, 2023, at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church. To honor his memory, contributions can be made to Jeremiah’s Hope Denver or Urban Youth Ministries.
